Curbside/To-go Server
At Alibi Ale Works, we believe that our public houses are a key part of our success as it will likely be the first experience consumers have with our brand. Reporting to the Bar Manager/General Manager, the Curbside Server is responsible for assisting in developing and running our new Curbside Pickup service, which provides online ordering and onsite pickup and payment for beer, wine, non-alcoholic drinks, and food

Duties and responsibilities
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provides every customer with respect, ensuring that they have a positive experience.
- Displays a passion for customer service, craft beer, and food
- Maintains safety as the top priority in all aspects of our work, for our staff, customers, and products.
- Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for taproom operations and specific job-related SOP’s
- Is familiar with the online store’s layout and range and location of products.
- Demonstrates proficiency in use of technology, including our tablet-based POS system, spreadsheets, and learns to efficiently use the specific technologies related to the position.
- Assists in the ongoing development, expansion and improvement of the online store platform including product mix, item descriptions, and user site experience.
- Develops and documents standard operating procedures for the operation of the curbside service to maximize efficiency and prepare for expansion of the service.
- Trains other staff in the standard operating procedures of the Curbside Pickup service.
- Accurately and quickly selects and stages online orders for guests.
- Assists with collection, loading and acceptance of payment for customer pick-up orders.
- Answers phone calls and provides customer assistance.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by Managers
Qualifications
Required:
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to hear well in a loud environment in order to answer and effectively communicate on the telephone and respond to guest requests
- Must be able to walk and stand, as well as stay focused and alert for extended periods of time
- Must be able to reach, bend, and wipe
- Must be able to carry trays, supplies, and empty kegs (10-50 lbs.)
- A desire to help out where needed and work effectively within a team
- Passion for providing extraordinary service
- The ability to thrive and work positively in a fast-paced environment
- An appetite for learning (and great beer and food)
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
- 6 months experience in a full-service restaurant preferred
- Must be upbeat, outgoing and positive
- Must be 18 years or older
- Reliable transportation
- Craft beer knowledge and appreciation, extended knowledge of beer is a plus
- Takes initiative for self-development in areas of craft beer and industry sales
